This project implied the renovation of a bathroom and a kitchen in a home in Philadelphia.
The bathroom remodeling started with the complete demolition of the old bathroom, down to the studs. As several studs were out of fix, they were replaced with new ones and also relocated in order to change the layout of the room for increased functionality. The drain pipes for the toilet, sink and shower were replaced and afferent water pipes were installed.
After completing the framing, new electrical wires were installed to accommodate the current bathroom layout. New mold resistant boards were installed on all the bathroom walls, wonderboard for the floor and the walls were spackled, sanded to smooth finish and painted. New ceramic tiles were installed across the leveled floor and onto the walls around the shower and sink. For the shower base a wet bed was previously laid down and after that the ceramic tiles were installed with a thin set. All new bathroom fixtures were set in place including the shower, shower doors and faucet, toilet, pedestal sink with new faucet, toilet paper holder, towel bar and the new shelves.
Ultimately, the tiles were grouted and sealed, resulting in a perfect bathroom remodeling.
